Meet Kerry, your dedicated Academy Liaison Executive

Hi, I’m Kerry. It’s lovely to meet you, and I’m thrilled to hear that you’re interested in becoming a Travel Counsellor.

As your dedicated Academy Liaison Executive, I’m here to help you stay on track with your training, provide support where needed, and offer coaching to get your business off to the best possible start. My aim is to understand your individual support needs and help you address them. Together, we can ensure you have the tools and guidance needed for success.

I will schedule one-to-one check-in calls at months two, four, and six to ensure we’re on track with your progress. I’ll also send you a personalised onboarding plan, which will help you think about, and reflect on, your specific goals prior to the calls.

These check-in calls are really important. Every new starter is on their own unique journey, so it’s important to understand how we can best support you along the way.

But that’s not the only support I can provide. I can also direct you to any extra training resources that might be helpful, and, if needed, further coaching calls can be arranged in addition to the planned check-ins. We also have the Academy Hub, an exclusive support hub for Academy Travel Counsellors which offers guidance on social media setup, as well as useful documents and step-by-step guides to help you get set for success.

A lot of people ask me what advice I’d give to someone who’s thinking of joining Travel Counsellors via our Travel Academy programme – to which I’d say this:

The Travel Academy offers an excellent foundation for your success, but this will also depend on how actively you engage, ask questions, and apply what you learn. It's important to build strong relationships with your mentor and fellow Travel Counsellors within the community, as they can provide invaluable advice and encouragement. Everyone’s journey is different, so set your own pace and goals, hold yourself accountable, and don’t hesitate to ask for help when needed.
