"This is Nyoman. I have met my sister and family (from Australia) in Bali twice now and Nyoman looked after us and has become a family friend. He is always so welcoming and accommodating and delighted to promote his homeland.”

“The Gambian people are special. We have visited twice a year, for many years. I recently went again after two years of not being able to travel, due to Covid. In that time I had lost my mum, so I took her ashes and scattered them at our favourite beach. A local boy played the guitar and our Gambian friends attended to say a special goodbye. Travel opens our minds, our hearts, and our souls.”

On the coach, we sat behind a couple and their young son who we got chatting with and shared meals together during the trip. We have toured many Battlefields together since and remained close friends. We attended that young child's wedding this year, who now has a child of his own!”
