Responsible Travel
At Travel Counsellors, we’re on a journey to help people travel more responsibly.
Through education of both ourselves and our customers, and better selection of the experiences we provide, we aim to ensure that the enduring impact of tourism is a positive one for the planet and its people.
Please get in touch if you want to talk about how you can travel more responsibly.

Supporting local communities
As travellers, we have the opportunity to support the communities in the destinations that we visit, ensuring they benefit both socially and economically from our presence. By using local tour guides, visiting community-owned restaurants, and getting involved with traditional activities, we can help unique cultural customs remain intact and ensure that the people who make our trip so special get the money they deserve.
Ethical wildlife viewing
Our vision is that all animals encountered on a Travel Counsellors holiday are free from exploitation, neglect and cruelty. We support an end to the capture of animals from the wild for the purposes of entertainment, and we encourage the conservation of natural habitats and their wildlife.
The best way to view wild animals is living freely, and your Travel Counsellor has access to a collection of experiences that bring you into the natural habitat of nature’s most majestic creatures.
Carbon footprint
As with most of our day-to-day activities, it’s no secret that going on holiday creates carbon emissions. By swapping in train journeys on your next adventure, you can experience vast swathes of countries that would have otherwise remained unseen, and do so with a smaller carbon footprint.
